Skin Cancer Malignant Melanoma Early Detection

Siddharth Mandala and Praneet Shah, under the guidance of Dr. AS Kumar, senior dermatologist at Apollo Hospitals, developed software to detect malignant melanoma. Patients take skin pictures using a phone camera connected to a computer, which the software analyzes and displays results. Shah focused on core programming, while Mandala tested the program and studied early-stage cancer symptoms. After testing with hundreds of medical images, the software achieved an accuracy of 97.7%.
